Spring has (hopefully) SpRuNg!

With not much to "muse" about, I just realized how happy I am to have spring here. I will only get to enjoy the weather for a moment before I have to begin shutting myself indoors to earn the big bucks!
I love when the spring comes and I see the first butterfly of the season. When I was young, it was such a treat to spot the first butterfly, and I took a special liking to the monarchs of our area. There is something so elegant about this simple creature, that I can't help but love the world around me, and realize the beauty God leaves for us on rainy days.
Enjoy the B-E-A-Utiful weather! Hopefully it will last for a while longer!

You Make Me Sad.

Anyone who knows me, or knows me well enough, knows I am a contradiction when it comes to emotion.

Let me explain:
1. I am a very emotional person sometimes, and can cry for no reason.
2. I have no trouble telling people I don't like, how much I don't like them or the things they do.
3. I have never been able to truly tell people what I am feeling inside, especially when someone hurts or upsets me.
4. I have trouble formulating sentences out loud.

Okay, so you get the idea. So last night I was talking to a friend of mine on the phone, and I told him these exact words, "you make me sad." And while this may sound like something my 1 1/2 year old nephew may say, (okay, I'll admit, maybe not yet, but he is smart!), this is a milestone in Tiffany's life!

This is HUGE for me. I am often so bottled up when it comes to those kinds of emotions that I am extremely proud of myself.

I feel this is the first step of a lot of emotional disclosures in the future.

Retaliation Hair

I think it's a woman's retaliation to change their hair whenever they are upset or someone makes them mad. Our hair is the one thing we feel we have control over, so I decided to go in for a drastic change! My mom would NEVER, and I mean NEVER let me cut my hair more than a few inches to "trim" it, all growing up. She even got mad at me when I grew out my bangs in the 6th grade. I so often wanted to try something new with it, and she wouldn't let me because "I wouldn't like it" and "it'll make you look ugly." Her words, not mine.

So the other day I wasn't having a good day and decided what the heck. Today is mine! So I went in and told the lady how much to cut, she asked if I was sure, and then chop! Away went my hair. So then I decided cutting it wasn't enough.

I think Brittney and I should switch expressions... I should be scared, right?

Soon to be me on the box.

I put my trust in the two of them?

AHH!!

We're getting there.

Mixing it in, for the 30-minute set-in.
Now I have hair that is maybe 8 inches total in length, and my beautiful locks of red are completely gone. Completely. I'm okay with it though... I really am.

I'm Blogging!

So I decided I was going to start blogging. My roommate created a blog the other day, and I felt inclined to do so myself. Maybe by sharing my frustrations and musings, as my title implies, I will slowly feel more able in this world.

Also, apparently, according to sources, I have a terrific talent for speaking on paper, as I like to call it. A face-to-face conversation, (also on the phone,) scares me. I don't like "confrontation" as I call it. So, the easiest most honest way for me to say what I really think is to write it down.

Maybe this way I will begin writing again, despite who may or may not read it.

This day marks a new beginning for me.
